Just arrived in the mail...



My SECOND copy of The Secret History. The first one is in tatters from being over-read.

Have you ever loved a book so much you wore it out and had to purchase another copy? Ridiculous. Ridiculous how good this book is.

    I've read it, and it could be that it was during a bad period for me but I didn't enjoy it like the rest of you. Of course it was interesting but I wasn't laughing my rear end off.

    Laughing? Dude...I...what? Are you thinking of the right book? This one is about five people who murder one of their closest friends (I didn't ruin anything - you find that out in sentence one) and the repercussions of that.

    Either way, read it again (and again and again) and marvel at her magnificent prose.

    I got about 5 pages into that and wasn't impressed. I suppose I should've given it at least 20 pages, though.
