Oh dear, Ali. I fear your Walmart-free days are coming to an abrupt end. Do you not realize that the holiday season is upon us and your mom considers you the most obliging one to do all the odds and ends? There aren't enough Targets in your area to cover all of her needs. Wrapping paper, bows, tape...aisle 16, or 3, or wherever the chip-on-the-shoulder Walmart worker stashed them this week.
You're probably right, and I do understand. But I will charge into that breach if my mother needs wrapping paper. That's how much I love her. I am willing to go into the Wal-Mart.
Really, Megs. I know you're not a compulsive liar, but I've never been to a Wal-Mart where the people were nice. They're always standing there like, "Yeah, I hate this place too, and the fact that they pay me doesn't make up for the fact that I have to stay here for 8 hours."
Al, I never have either. And I admit they still look like they hate working there, but they are polite. I get asked just about every time if i've found everything I was looking for, and how was my day...
You should try going there sometime...but stay as walmart free as long as you can. wait until your mom asks you to get stuff. :)
I really feel like the attitudes got a lot worse once Wal-Mart instituted the any-navy-shirt-you-want paired with any-khaki-or-what-once-resembled-khaki-pants-you-want dress code. I mean, how can you be a pleasant worker with such strict rules?
I am a big proponent of the Oxford comma, I hate when people say "I could care less" when they actually mean "I couldn't care less", I think people who live in the southern hemisphere are tragic because their Christmas comes in the summer.

I would be walmart free too, if I lived in Johnstown. The walmart is a nightmare, especially now that they rearranged it.
The East Freedom one is much nicer. and the people there are actually nice to you.

The employees don't hate walmart...They hate working...
...at Wal-Mart.

I've avoided walmart for the last 3 months...just cause I'm lazy
Congratulations Ali. You have achieved so much. I am proud of you.
